Hockey and Kassies First Thanksgiving

This year was our first Thanksgiving without our beloved Buddy who passed in Feb, so we were remembering him in our conversations on Thursday. We were reminded of how funny he would be when stalking the appetizer plates, and circling the table for turkey. My grandmother is a push over and all she needed was him to bat his eyelashes and she would give him whatever was in her hand.

Well this year was Hockey's first Thanksgiving as was our foster girl Kassies'. Well I did forget how a cairns eyes wander yet lock on goodies. Hockey is a gentleman and is not as obvious about stealing food as Kassie is. She was the life of the party, stealing things, chasing my JRT who would like her to disappear, stealing toys and just being adorable.

I loved that when we got home both dogs were sacked out and dead for the rest of the night. Thanksgiving was a first for both dog and now comes Christmas with HAM instead of Turkey, and WRAPPING PAPER too!!! If she is still here with us she will be in dog heaven when it comes to unwrapping gifts.

She also had a first this week where she met TODDLERS - a 26 month old and a 16 month old!! Wowwie were they demanding and kept saying DOGGIES NI NIGHT and pointing to the beds. Those girls had no idea they were dealing with cairns. Well, after a few minutes it was almost as if I had 4 toddlers chasing each other in the house. The girls stole the dogs toys, and were giggling while the dogs were chasing the girls round and round for 20 minutes non stop. I am sure the dogs were ecstatic once the babies left.!! I think I can say she is okay with kids.
