Zeke is now a Therapy Dog!

Contributed by Zeke fka CP Mystique

Zeke is now a Graduate Therapy Dog!

Hello Col. Potter fans!

Zeke here, down along the beautiful Jersey Shore!  Guess what?  I just passed my Pet Therapy dog test!  Mom said I did a really great job with all the children who pretended to be a crowd, with noisy movement and all that.  It was all part of the test.

Mom also said that now she and I will either be going to nursing facilities, hospitals, or schools - including special needs schools – and maybe some “Reading to Dogs” programs.  I can’t wait!

Mom and Dad are very proud of me and very happy that I was rescued by the wonderful Volunteers at Colonel Potter Cairn Rescue Network!

Especially Foster Mom, Marie!

Kaper (CP’s KPax) Turns Eight!

Contributed by his & Ginger’s (fka CP Spangle) Mom

Ginger, fka CP Spangle, and Kaper, fka CP KPax

I want to thank Col. Potter for rescuing Kaper (fka CP KPax), who just turned eight years old on August 18, 2013.  He was saved by CP two and a half years ago after spending the first five years of his life as a puppy mill breeder dog.  He is a special little gentleman who loves curling up with me and going on walks.

I also want to thank you all for Ginger (fka CP Spangle), who will soon celebrate her first gotcha day here!  She turned three in June and she is a sweet little girl with all the energy of a puppy.  She was a puppy mill breeder dog also, and was rescued by Col Potter at age two.  I am fortunate to be the Forever Mom for both these kids.  They are still wary of strangers, but are adjusting well.

I've attached a photo of Ginger and Kaper.  They look posed, but they often sit that way.  Here are two more perfect examples of why everything Col Potter does is so important.

Thanks from a grateful Forever Mom!

Jury Here Forever! Weed all About It!

Contributed by his Forever Dad

CP Jury is happy to visit Grandma!
So much to do!

Jury thought "Grandma's" grass needed weeding, so he took it upon himself to help her out.  He is such a sweet boy!  I was able to snap these photos for posterity.  Notice, he knows how to find the lens!

…so many bugs to search out!
See, Grandma!  Weeding can be fun!

Jury was adopted in March of 2012 and has been such a little helper with his Forever family.  He continues to amaze me and, since his adoption, he has completely come out of his shell!

Things Jury likes to do include eat, go for walks, "investigate" under bushes, introduce himself to people, sniff out multi-legged creatures, notify others something is afoot in the area, visit his foster home, roll-over for belly rubs, munch on sweet potatoes, relax in his kennel, and sleep in his bed.  Those are a few things off the top of my head.

10 years old and Jury is totally enjoying the best part of his life!

It's been over a year since Jury came into my life and I couldn't have asked for a better pup to rule my world!
