Van Gogh's (Sweeney) Adoption Day

A little over a year ago this boy was delivered from the Devil's Den - he was the very first puppy mill pull done by Kathy & Barney H. I don't think any of us will forget Kathy's tale of that day and the first hand observations of a bad puppy mill. Sweeney was that boy.

He had a terrible fear of men and scared of many things in our everyday world - as many PM kids are. His first foster mom was Carla L who gave Van Gogh (Sweeney) a wonderful start. I was his second foster mom. He came to me perfectly housetrained (thank you Carla!!). His fear of men has been a work in progress. He has come a long way from that horrible puppy mill. To make it in this world, Van Gogh had to have a special home - loving women and men to nurture him. Today Van Gogh went to that special home! His new moms are a mother-daughter team - Carol & Amy. Amy's boyfriend John (since he's a frequent visitor) is also part of the family. And Scrappy - their 15 y/o cairn boy who's been lonely since the loss of his cairn brother, Cesar. Armed with treats and cheese, we had a bonding party in my backyard. Van Gogh will be forever known as Sweeney. A picture is worth a thousand words - Sweeney has sent you thousands!!
