We took Huey in this spring on an emergency basis to help him heal after being neutered with a rubber band...his alternative was euthanasia at the shelter that only has part-time staff and couldn't care for him. What was supposed to be short-term until a permanent foster home could be found because forever to us. He got his first real grooming today. It killed me to leave him because he visibly shook when I handed him to the groomer. Although he's adorable with his hair ' a mess' he finally looks like a dog without a perm gone wrong.
