| CP Wright nka Gillie fits right into New Mom’s arms! |
Sometimes
it is all about being in the right place at the right time, and so it was for
CP Wright! She lost her home in California right when a wonderful home in North Carolina needed a
new Cairn! Mom & Dad flew to California to pick up
Wright and bring her right back to her Forever Home.
“The trip was great! We picked up Wright at the entrance to Point Lobos State Park in Carmel
(they don't allow dogs in the park, so we had to meet Foster Mom and Dad
outside the park). Everything went fabulously, and we hit the road with
Wright nka Gillie about 12:00 or so with her on Mom's lap as we headed down the
Pacific Coast Highway.
Gillie was a bit nervous and it took time for her to settle down, but she did
and by around 4:00 or so she was falling asleep, stretched out on Mom’s
lap. She did well on the flight back home! She was a bit nervous after take-off, but
seemed to settle down when Mom pulled the carrier up onto her lap and
scratched her belly and ears.”

Gillie fka CP Wright fits
right in at Home!

“Gillie's
very sweet, and pretty! She's a bit
larger than Doby, but the two of them seem to have hit it off, and are
"checking each other out" - and probably will for a few more
days. Doby seems a bit nervous, but hasn't snapped/barked/growled at her
at all. She's had one trip in the back yard off her leash this morning
(the first few times were on it so we could watch her and Doby) and she did
well. She chased a squirrel up a tree
and loved it! Right now she's sitting on the couch with me, destroying a squeaky
ball toy we got her at Pet Smart yesterday and having a great old time!”
